47 votes out of 48 possible votes were cast by six judges. 1 confederate (SuperBattleMage) only received 5 votes rather than the 6 possible. These votes were tabulated by the actual sex of the confederate, the presented sex of the confederate, and whether or not the portrayal of sex utilized sex-typical behaviors or sex stereotypical behaviors.
26 votes out of 47 cast (55%) matched the true sex of the confederate. Of these, 20 of these votes (43%) corresponded to individuals presenting their real gender, while only 6 of these votes (13%) correctly identified the sex of someone presenting falsely.
When broken down by the sex presented, judges cast 37 votes out of 47 (79%) that identified the confederates as being the same sex as that they were presenting. Of these votes, 20 (83%) were for individuals presenting their own sex, while 17 (74%) were presenting falsely.
4 confederates had been assigned to perform using sex typical behaviors. Of the 24 votes cast, 20 (83%) identified the confederates as being of the presented gender. Those presenting falsely received 9 votes out of 12 (83%), those presenting their true sex received 11 out of 12 (92%). When looking at those engaged in stereotypical behaviors, 23 votes were cast. 17 of them (74%) identified the confederate as being of the sex they were presenting. Those presenting their true sex received 9 votes out of 12 (75%), those presenting falsely received 8 out of 11 votes (73%). Discussion |

That's not all of the seeds.
The final paragraph of the Method section explains the reason for that.
I accidentally gave her the wrong link, leading her to initially missing that section, so that's my fault.
Another interesting thing to note is the bias towards masculinity-- 27 to 20. Everyone on the internet's male, right?
Wow. Everyone thought I was a guy? And here I was worrying that I wasn't manning up enough. | |
