So I find myself wondering...
There's an article in a British circular about a somewhat controversial calendar in England. It seems a group of students at the famous Oxford University had rather public photos of themselves taken for the calendar, showing themselves nude but for strategically placed objects (such as library books) in order to raise funds to combat third world poverty. While some are concerned that this is a black mark on the reputation of one of the most famous educational institutions in the world, others feel that it's for a good cause.
This makes me wonder (idle curiosity, really). Would you pose nude for charity? |

The WI did it first, so it's not SO bad.
Frankly, I wouldn't pose naked for charity. For money, yes, but no for charity. Yes, I'm a self-motivated mercenary type. Bite me.
I dunno, given the state of my bank account, I'm not sure there's much of a difference.
Probably would, yes. But the real question is who on earth would want to see me pose naked for anything?
Funny, I had the same thought about myself... ^_^
I find it much more likely that people would give money for me NOT to pose nude.
Hmm... Wonder if there's a lot of money in *not* posing nude...
Probably not. See, first there must be a demonstration of why one shouldn't be allowed to pose nude. Anyone who fits this catagory generally is less than willing to subject themselves to the ridicule, thus cutting the process off before the issue of pay comes up. You're out of luck, Bro. ;)
Crap. Guess I need to get a job then...
Yeah, sucks. On the bright side, I won't be "treated" to another view of your pasty chest... ;)

oh the brotherly sisterly love floweth...
Bear in mind, the circular reporting it is the Daily Mail. The readership tend to hate on things for little real reason, or at the very least take the most negative view possible. So any debate about whether that calendar is a good thing or a bad thing is likely to be skewed.
As for me: I don't plan to incite a werewolf panic by taking off my shirt in public. Let alone posing nude. | |
